Yes! The whole program originated with parents in mind!
All of the workbooks are intended to be used by parents with little time and effort required. The first few pages of each workbook explain how to use it. Reading the intro pages is not necessary, however, as a QR code is provided at the beginning of the book giving free access to a demonstration video. Any portion of the program (i.e. Copying for Accuracy workbooks) that gets too technical, has associated videos and Ms. Jackie teaches. After subscribing to these videos, you and your child can click through the videos to watch and complete the workbook as directed.

Ms. Jackie will teach all the foundations of writing, the letter formations as well as concepts such as uppercase vs lowercase letters and when to use each. Whole class or small group, it’s easy!

It’s ideal for these special little ones! This program is engaging and easy to use.
Letters are grouped with learning differences in mind. Line strokes are presented first. Quickly assess how easy or difficult the letter grouping might be. Move on with confidence to the letters that require only these lines and practice till perfected :) Oh, and we got your back with our embedded data trackers on each page, known as Grown-Up Info Boxes, and our pre- and post-tests… your proof of progress. We know your plate is full, so subscribe, click, and play the videos. Let Ms. Jackie teach!

Early childhood educators often create lessons around community helpers to introduce how these people help us. Examples are firefighters, doctors and construction workers. The Legybles have added a fun twist by adding zookeeper, lifeguard, and many other community members. In Legy-land, where pretend play is front and center, we pretend the uppercase letters are grownups…the community members. This pretend play not only adds fun content but it will be used to help kids size their letters correctly within the workbook series.

A child’s ability to regulate their emotions comes from their ability to attend, persevere, be patient, keep organized, stay calm, advocate for themselves, etc. These concepts are introduced with quirky lowercase characters that exemplify these traits. There is Danny who is determined, Oscar who is organized, Zeke who is zen and lots of other playful characters. Ms. Jackie uses them as a platform to touch on these concepts within the videos. It also provides a platform that can be used to spark conversations with your child about these types of skills.

Ages have been intentionally left off all workbooks so your child, no matter the age, will feel good about using them. Typically, they will be used in the elementary years but which years depends on how your individual child learns. Some children with significant learning differences may be using these in middle or high school. When it comes to learning, we are life long learners and The Legybles are here to support your child’s individual journey.
Generally speaking, the workbooks are developmentally ordered and as follows:
Tracing for Focus- The first Pre-K book which is focused on getting used to holding a marker and developing eye hand coordination.
Tracing for Form (Uppercase/Lowercase)- Both are Pre-K books focused on learning the line strokes and letter formations through tracing large lines and letters.
Copying for Accuracy (Uppercase/Lowercase)- Both are Kindergarten or First grade workbooks focused on letter formation, alignment, and sizing.
Tracing and Copying for Accuracy: Numbers- A Kindergarten or First grade workbook focused on number formation, alignment, and sizing with the use of a hundreds chart.
Writing for Fluidity (Words)- A First or Second Grade workbook focused on learning to write a bit smaller while learning to write sight words.
Writing for Fluidity (Sentences)- A First or Second Grade workbook focused on learning to write a bit smaller while learning to write complete sentences.
Writing for Content- A Third Grade workbook focused on turning sentences into multi-paragraph essays.

7 to 10 business days is the best answer. Really, though, on average 2-3 business days. It all depends on the size of the order and your location.

Occupational therapists (OTs) are skilled professionals who are educated in how to help people return to their previous level of independence after an illness or injury. When it comes to kids, therapists who specialize in pediatrics not only help children who might be recovering from an illness or accident, but they also support children who are not meeting their expected developmental milestones. The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) has lots of helpful information on their website at AOTA.org.
